Terms of use

This is a translation for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

1. Provider and purpose

Hangar (myhangar.ch) is a private, non-commercial platform for RC model aircraft hobbyists. It is operated by Bruno Müller, Solothurn (hereinafter the “Operator”). Use is free of charge. An account is only available to those who receive an invitation code from the Operator. There is no entitlement to an account.

By registering or continuing to use the service, you accept these terms of use and acknowledge the privacy policy.

2. Services

The Hangar is used to store and display your own information on models, transmitters, batteries, centre of gravity and flights, as well as photos and videos. The Operator provides the platform voluntarily and without consideration. There is no entitlement to any particular availability, functionality or duration of the service. The Operator may change, restrict, interrupt or discontinue the service at any time and without prior notice, and may block or delete accounts and content.

3. User obligations

• You keep your login credentials secret and are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
• You only upload content for which you hold the necessary rights (e.g. your own photos and videos). You only show identifiable persons with their consent.
• You do not publish any unlawful, infringing, offensive or promotional content, nor any malware.
• You alone are responsible for the content you enter.
• Compliance with the regulations for model flying (e.g. those of the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA/BAZL)) and with safety rules is solely your responsibility.

4. Visibility of your data

Your content – in particular aircraft with all settings, switch and rate assignments, centre of gravity, battery assignments, flight log, photos and videos – as well as your username are visible to all registered users. This sharing is switched on by default. You can switch it off under “Settings”. As administrator, the Operator has technical access to all stored data.

5. No copy protection, further use by others

There is no copy protection. Other registered users can view shared content, copy it into their own Hangar, download it as a PDF, modify it and reuse it. By sharing, you permit all registered users, free of charge and without time limit, to use, copy and modify your shared content for private purposes.

Content that has already been copied or downloaded remains with the other users – even if you later switch off sharing, delete content or your account is closed. The Operator has no influence over this and accepts no responsibility for its use by other users.

6. Use of data by the Operator

The Operator uses your data exclusively to operate the Hangar (display, storage, backups, battery warnings by e-mail). The Operator does not sell your data, does not pass it on for advertising purposes and does not analyse it. Details can be found in the privacy policy.

7. No warranty, disclaimer of liability

Use is at your own risk. All information, templates, calculations, notes and the guide – in particular regarding centre of gravity, control surface throws, rates/expo, gyro settings, flight times and battery condition – are provided without warranty as to accuracy, completeness or currency. They do not replace the manufacturer’s specifications or your own check before every flight. Battery warnings by e-mail are a non-binding aid; there is no guarantee that they will arrive on time or at all.

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator excludes all liability, in particular for:

• damage to models, batteries, chargers, property or persons arising in connection with the use of the information in the Hangar (e.g. crash, battery fire);
• loss, damage, alteration or disclosure of data, photos and videos;
• interruptions, errors, security vulnerabilities or the discontinuation of the service;
• content of other users and their use of your shared content;
• e-mails that are not sent, delayed or misdirected.

There is no entitlement to data backup or restoration. Keep your own additional copy of important information (e.g. via the PDF export).

8. Termination and deletion

You can request at any time by e-mail to kontakt@myhangar.ch that your account be deleted together with all its content. The Operator may block or delete accounts at any time without giving reasons, in particular in the event of violations of these terms.

9. Changes

The Operator may change these terms of use at any time. The new version will be shown to you the next time you log in and applies as soon as you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can no longer use the Hangar.

10. Governing law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is Solothurn, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
